Warm and sunny heading into a beautiful weekend

The front that sagged across the state has led to little moisture with current isolated showers occurring south of Sioux City. Will still carry a chance for at least an isolated shower or thunderstorm through the western portion and southwestern portion of the state this morning, but no substantial rain is expected. Temperatures stay cooler for the next couple days with highs in the mid upper 70s and we'll keep it sunny today and tomorrow as well with our breeze picking up to. Temperatures climb this weekend with highs on Saturday in the low 80s and we'll build back to near 90° by Memorial Day. Highs for much of next week top out at or near 90°. Rain chances remain nebulous and hard to pin down, but we should see some moisture finally work its way back into the state by the middle of next week.
