Unsettled weather for some in Iowa Friday night

Unsettled weather for some in Iowa Friday night
TOWEL OFF. THAT’S WHAT WE SAY. SO YEAH, TODAY WE KNEW IT WAS GOING TO BE HOTTER FOR THE FAIR. IT’S HUMID OUT THERE, BUT I THINK WE DO HAVE A NICER DAY ON TAP AS FAR AS TEMPERATURES ARE CONCERNED. TOMORROW. AND THEN WE GET A LITTLE MORE HUMID ON SUNDAY. WE’VE GOT TWO AREAS WE’RE WATCHING ON SUPER DOPPLER 8 TONIGHT. WE’VE GOT SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCHES TO OUR NORTH AND THEN BACK DOWN TO OUR SOUTH AND WEST. THAT’S WHERE WE HAVE THE ACTIVE WEATHER RIGHT NOW. WE’VE GOT A FEW THUNDERSTORMS PUSHING JUST SOUTH OF CRESTON OVER INTO DECATUR COUNTY, OUT TOWARDS PLACES LIKE BEDFORD AND MOUNT AYR ALONG HIGHWAY 169. THERE POCKETS OF HEAVIER RAIN, SOME LIGHTNING AND THUNDER. ALL WITH THOSE STORMS. TEMPERATURES RIGHT NOW, WE ARE CLOSE TO 90 DEGREES, 88 HERE IN DES MOINES, 86 UP IN AMES, DEW POINTS, UPPER 60S TO LOW 70S. SO AGAIN, THAT’S A TELLTALE SIGN. WE DO HAVE THE HUMIDITY AND THE MUGGINESS OUT THERE. 12 HOUR FORECAST TONIGHT LOOKS QUIET IF YOU’RE STAYING OUT AT THE FAIR LATE THIS EVENING. SKIES WILL STAY CLEAR. A WARM ONE, THOUGH. WE STAY IN THE LOW TO MID 70S THROUGH ABOUT MIDNIGHT. NEXT CHANCE OF RAIN. BESIDES TONIGHT WILL COME ON SUNDAY. IT’S LIKELY WE’LL SEE MORE WIDESPRAD SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS AT THE END OF THE WEEKEND. THIS FRONT’S PUSHING THROUGH THAT COULD SPARK OFF A FEW MORE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS SOUTHERN IOWA LATER ON TONIGHT. TOMORROW IS CLEAR. SUNSHINE AS HIGH PRESSURE MOVES IN. AND THEN OUR NEXT STORM SYSTEM GETS HERE BY SUNDAY. AND THAT’S WHEN WE COULD SEE MAYBE SOME MORE STRONGER STORMS ACROSS IOWA. TONIGHT’S FORECAST BACK INTO THE 60S, MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES TOMORROW. WE’LL BE BACK UP INTO THE MID TO UPPER 80S. SO ANOTHER WARM DAY. EIGHT DAY FORECAST LOOKS LIKE THIS MID 80S ON SUNDAY. WE’RE BACK TO NEAR 80 ON MONDAY, SOME LEFTOVER SHOWERS AND STORMS AND THEN WE RETURN TO THE 80S AS TEMPERATUR
