WEBVTT Eugene Martin disappeared with out a trace August 12, 19- 84. Just days before his 14th birthday. Today, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children re- released this computer generated photo of Martin as he might look like now. They hope to drum up some new leads in this mystery. KCCI's Jason Rantala is live with the latest. It was 30 years ago this month... that Eugene Martin went missing. His paper bag that he used to hold newspapers was found right here SW 14-th and Highview. Even though 3 decades have passed since his disapperance, police are still seeking your help. It was August 12-th, 19-84 when Eugene Martin went missing. Martin was last seen delivering newspapers between 5:30 and 6 that morning. His paper bag with newspapers still inside... was found just outside of Des Moines. The disappearance happened just two years after Johnny Gosh disappeared... He was also last seen delivering newspapers in West Des Moines. <certainly the serious cases are extremely important to des moines police department> Sgt. Scott Raudabaugh with Des Moines police says older cold cases are looked at on a yearly basis. The department has a select group of officers who specifically look at very old cases. Police will examine old pieces of evidence from cold cases with new technology like DNA testing. <everything that could be done was done to take advantage of technology that exists now that didn't exist maybe 10, 15, 20 years ago> This photo, re- released today by The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, shows what Martin was expected to like at age 39. He would now be 44 years old. Martin had brown hair and brown eyes. He had a scar on his right knee and a broken wrist. <if in any way we can develop a suspect and follow up on that we certainly do> If you have any info about Martin's disappearance or current whereabouts...
