For Sale: 2017 Ford F-350 – 2015 Lance 825 Overland Rig ($52,000)

Time to sell our truck, a 2017 Ford F-350, and our camper, a 2015 Lance 825. We are asking $52,000 for the pair, firm. I did the truck value on Kelly Blue Book and the truck camper value on JD power. With the upgrades this is a “priced to move” offer. We are the original owners of both truck and the camper.

We are upgrading, and this rig has served us very well. We love it, and typically use it as a mobile mountain-biking base for about six months every year.  We just need something a little bigger, and have reached the “life is short, indulge yourself,” moment.  This integrated rig can take you anywhere you want to go. It is one of the attendees at the very first “Truck Camper Adventure Rally” and it brought us, and our yellow lab, Denali, with it.

Of note, we are picking up our new rig in Denver in late November or early December. We’d be willing to drive the rig out to you in that region if you purchase it fully. (We’ll do a live video walk through with you if you wish.)

CAMPER: 2015 Lance 825, four-season rated. Currently winterized

Many upgrades:

  • Last year, I put in 200 amp hours of Battle Born Lithium, upgraded all control components and upgraded the DC/DC circuit to be 4 awg wire. (More rapid charging while driving.)
  • 200 watts of solar on the Lance 825 roof
  • Rear extendable awning
  • Torklift FastGuns locking tie-downs on the front
  • Happijac spring loaded turnbuckle tie-downs on the rear
  • I’ve insulated the basement to make it even more “four-season” than the Manufacturer spec.
  • Remote thermometers to keep you appraised if outdoor and basement temperatures, as well as freezer and fridge
  • There is a good WeBoost Cellular booster as well, with a folding antenna on the roof
  • Roof-rack included, as well as mounting brackets for a second spare
  • Custom-cut roof vent interior insulation panels
  • All exterior panel seams well and regularly maintained
  • Spare water-pump still in the box (we’re “be prepared” folks, often way off-grid in this rig)
  • Table pedestal modified to make it more roomy, functional and versatile in the dining area
  • Clothes closet reconfigured for food storage, hanging clothes moved to bathroom hanging rod
  • Potable water hose and power cord included

TRUCK: 2017 F350 Super Duty Crewcab, Gas with around 110,000 miles

  • Incredibly well maintained and in great shape
  • All lubrication intervals are shortened and consistently done
  • Frame and undercarriage was immediately and regularly fluid-filmed (rust-proofing) and this truck has the Ford all aluminum body
  • One added leaf on the rears
  • Falken WildPeak AT Trail tires
  • Integrated OEM safe in center console
  • Bucket front seats with center console
  • 60/40 split rear seat
  • Ford Truck Camper and Plow Package factory upgrade
  • Ford Factory “extra extra heavy duty” alternator
  • Two engine batteries
  • Aftermarket backup camera mounted on camper, connected to truck screen
  • Dashcam

We purpose-configured this truck only as an off-grid overland vehicle. Used it solely with the camper. Our everyday trucks are not this one.

  • It has a Buckstop Bumper, with 2-inch receiver and a Warn Power-station winch (This winch has an integrated constant duty compressor with enough hose to reach all four wheels, and it can run an air tool for tire changes)
  • I added light-bars above the windshield as well as 45 degree turn lighting to the bumper.
  • The original front and rear bumpers and hardware are stored in my barn, willing to include.
  • Tires are in great shape. Extra spare and wheel (two spares)
  • This truck and truck camper are also barn-stored when we are not on the road
  • Cobra 75WXST CB Radio with 102-inchwhip antenna that doubles as a clearance indicator for overhanging obstacles

Extras included in the sale price:

  • Leveling block assortment
  • Spare water pump
  • The truck tailgate

Extras available at an additional TBD cost (not included in the sale price):

  • Original front and rear bumpers with mounting hardware (Original front replaced with Buckstop, original rear removed to accommodate Lance camper but is street legal without it when camper is dismounted
  • Second spare and wheel

Recent Service Work Performed (in the last four months – we don’t really use it in the summer much as we are busy operating Adirondack Adventure Base)

  • Air filter changed
  • Differential fluid change, front and rear
  • Engine oil and filter changed (full-synthetic)
  • Fuel filter changed

Past Service Work Performed

  • Both Manifolds replaced this summer. Catalytic converter replaced at same time

Known Issues:

  • No mechanical issues. We fix stuff quickly
  • The white vinyl decal on the truck is pealing a bit on a body line groove
  • Know that we traveled with a yellow lab. She sheds. We clean, but pet dander will be present for the dog allergic
  • We removed the TV antenna as it was a “catch the branches” hazard and we don’t use TV. We no longer have it

The rig is located near Saranac Lake, New York. Contact Bob at beckert@newandimproved.com for more information or to schedule a showing.
