If you’re not familar with the Omnia Stovetop Oven, you’ve been missing out on one of the best cooking implements ever devised for RVs. The oven for the ovenless, the Omnia resembles a bundt pan with a lid. The basic kit consists of a stainless steel base plate, an aluminum baking pan, a red aluminum lid, and a black storage bag. The pan has a diameter of 10 inches and a height of 2-3/4 inches, and can hold up to 8 cups, large enough for a 9-inch cake mix or a full box of brownies. The total height of the Omnia, including the lid and metallic knob, is only 5.5 inches. The Omnia’s circular and compact size makes it perfect for campers and boats of all sizes, including overlanders and hikers who camp only in tents.
How the Omnia works is pretty clever. The portable stovetop heats the Omnia base plate, which in turn heats the air trapped in between the base plate and the baking pan. At the same time, the baking pan’s wide, circular “chimney” and lid allows heat from the stove to rise up and circulate back down onto the food. Thus, the Omnia stovetop oven creates hot air both under and above the baking pan just like a traditional oven. Better yet, a few air holes in the lid allow steam to escape, so that foods bake rather than steam. As a result, Omnia dishes won’t be soggy as so often happens in a Dutch oven or a pressure cooker.
What kind of dishes can you cook in the Omnia Stovetop Oven? With the exception of a Thanksgiving turkey, just about anything your heart desires, including pizza, casseroles, homemade breads, cakes, cobblers, quiche, lasagna, biscuits, pot pies, vegetables, baked potatoes, cookies, etc. You can also use it to reheat leftover food or even warm cold rolls, biscuits and baguettes.
The genesis of the Omnia Stovetop Oven began in Sweden, but it’s popularity has expanded worldwide with major chains now selling the Omnia, including Camping World. We’ve been big fans of the Omnia for years and gave it a 5-star review in 2019. As a matter of fact, Truck Camper Adventure and Omnia have been partners since 2018. We also hold cooking classes on the Omnia at our Quartzsite rally every year. Omnia is now offering a number of new accessories that makes the popular cooking implement even better. Let’s take a close look at each.
Six New Omnia Lid Colors
We’ve always liked Omnia’s classic, red lid color, but we’ve thought it would be nice if Omnia offered other lid colors as well. Now they do! Choose from six new vibrant colors to accommodate any taste or decor in your camper: anthracite (gray), turquoise, purple, pink, blue and yellow. Made of aluminum, each lid measures 10-inches diameter, weighs only 8 ounces, and features ventilation holes and a black knob. Each lid, of course, can be used with 2L Omnia silcone molds, the 3L Maxi mold, and non-stick molds
Five New Omnia Silicone 2L Molds
If you enjoy coffee and cake you’ll love Omnia’s new silcone molds. Each mold offers non-stick use for cakes and other baked goodies. They are sold as a single pack in six different colors—classic red, anthracite, turquoise, pink, blue, and yellow—or as a duo pack in two colors—beige and burgundy. Each mold is safe for use and is made of BPA-free silicone that meets strict FDA and LFGB standards. Each mold is microwaveable, weighs only 6.5 ounces, and can be used in temperatures as high as 500F. Omnia recommends use of a grease or oil when used. Each mold washes up easily with dish soap or in a dishwasher (if used in your house). Like all silicon molds, avoid using sharp objects like knifes, scouring pads, and other harmful implements that may damage it. Wash and dry after each use. Warning: all silicone molds get very hot. Use an Omnia potholder when handling.
New Omnia Silicone Maxi 3L Mold
Similar to the aforementioned 2L silicone mold, only larger. The 3L Maxi mold is safe for use and is made of BPA-free silicone that meets strict FDA and LFGB standards. The Maxi mold is microwaveable, weighs only 9.5 ounces and can be used in temperatures as high as 500F. Omnia recommends use of a grease or oil when used. Each mold is hand washable and dishwasher safe. The 3L mold comes in one color, violet. Like all silicon molds, avoid using sharp objects like knifes, scouring pads, and other harmful implements that may damage it. Wash and dry after each use. Warning: all silicone molds get very hot. Use an Omnia potholder when handling.
New Omnia Handle
If you’ve ever touched or used the Omnia Stovetop Oven you know that it can get very hot! With this new innovative, easy to use grab handle, you can effortlessly lift the baking pan from the stainless steel base without burning yourself. Simply squeeze the prongs together, insert into the openings of the baking pan, then lift straight up. Made of stainless steel, the handle is 9.1 inches long and weighs only 6 ounces. The accessory comes with it’s own storage bag. Can also be used with the Omnia Maxi Mold 3L and Omnia non-stick Mold. Compatible with any Omnia cooking accessory without scratching it, including those with a non-stick coating.
New Omnia Multi-Mold 6-Pack

This new Omnia accessory pack comes with a set of six silicone molds in various shapes and sizes, including half and quarter sizes. Better yet, they take up very little storage space in your Omnia. The molds are safe to use in a microwave and are made of BPA-free silicone that meets strict FDA and LFGB standards. Can be used in temperatures as high as 500F. Omnia recommends use of a grease or oil when used. Each mold is hand washable and dishwasher safe. Make sure you use an Omnia potholder when handling.
