After two years of development, Loki Expedition revealed it’s new expedition rig at the 2024 Overland Expo East. Called the Falcon X15, the new expedition rig is bigger and better than the original Falcon with a habitat that spans an impressive 15 feet. The new Falcon is outfitted with bigger water tanks, larger batteries, additional sleeping quarters, a closed shower and toilet, and much, much more.
“Exhibiting at the booth was truly inspiring,” according to Loki’s press release. “It was incredibly validating to see and hear people’s reactions to the new build in person. We were ecstatic to find that the overwhelming feedback was how blown away everyone was by the quality of our interior. Pouring your heart and soul into creating something you believe in is one thing, but having others recognize and appreciate it makes all the effort worthwhile.”
Every interior and exterior component, the company claims, has been carefully handpicked to ensure a top tier quality build. Each unit is assembled by a specially trained team who pays close attention to every last detail.
Unlike the original Falcon, which was a traditional slide-in truck camper, the new Falcon is a chassis-mounted camper mated on a class 5 chassis. Owners can choose between either a Ford F-550 or a Ram 5500 chassis, both of which come with a LiquidSpring suspension system for superior speed, steering, braking, and road inputs.
The habitate offers superb construction as well with high density structural grade PIR insulation with thick FRP (gel-coat) inside and out, and reinforced with AZDEL sub-laminates. The premium composite panels are the best in the industry, boasting an R20 insulation. Not only that, but the interior panels are impervious to water, super strong, fire resistant, and lightweight.
As you’d expect the Falcon X15’s electrical system is top notch with an impressive 1,600 watt solar power system, 900 amp hour lithium battery bank, a 6,000 watt inverter, an induction cooktop, heated floors, and a 160L DC compressor refrigerator with a 35L freezer. Additional features include 75 gallons of fresh water, 30 gallons of grey water, a diesel heater, and a wet-bath with a cassette toilet. The rig sleeps up to six adults and even features a UV water purification system.
Features for the truck include a 360 degree camera system, a self-lifting rear cargo and spare tire system, cargo boxes, a cargo bay, an exterior kitchen, an air compressor, custom access steps, and a front and rear 16,000-pound Warn winch.
“After an amazing three days at the 2024 Overland Expo East, it was time to tackle the 1,500-kilometer journey back to our Nordic workshop. Armed with notebooks full of fresh ideas, we’re already looking forward to our next adventure: Overland Expo West in May 2025,” the release said.
With a listed price of $640,000 US and $750,000 Canadian the rig comes with everything including the truck.
Hmmmm.
