Tiger Adventure Vehicles just launched a new expedition truck camper model called the Panthera. Highlights of the fully integrated, expedition rig include an overhead modified queen bed with up to 6 feet 8 inches of headroom, 48 gallons of fresh water, 800 amp hours of lithium batteries, 600 watts of solar, a Rixen Hydronic heating system, Arctic Tern windows, and a fully insulated rigid unibody mount design with an integrated pass through to the truck.
“Since 1986, Tiger has been producing reliable off-road 4×4 campers with strength, agility and power,” said Scott Humbaugh, new owner of Tiger Adventure Vehicles. “We will continue our commitment with the new Panthera model while still also producing the classic Bengal model.”
The company is based in Dawsonville, Georgia.
The Panthera’s new floor plan comes in two styles, a dinette and swivel mount table (which converts to a bed) or an L-shaped fold out couch. Up to 800-amp-hours of lithium batteries and 600-watts of solar power the camper’s systems through either a 2,000 watt or a 3,000 watt inverter. The self-contained Panthera also features a wet-bath with shower, a cassette toilet, recessed shelving, a sofa, a complete kitchen with ample storage, an induction cooktop, a DC compressor refrigerator-freezer, a microwave and clothes closet. The bed area includes a slide-out ladder for easy access, storage cabinets, and a modified queen size mattress.
The chassis-mounted camper is built with strength, agility, and long-lasting durability in mind. The rigid uni-body mount design includes aluminum tubing and plate connections in multiple strategic locations to the chassis creating a powerful permanent mount system. Fiberglass fairings are aerodynamic, and the aluminum composite walls are tough in inclement environments.
The Panthera is spacious and roomy with 10 feet 5 inches of interior height. The exterior of the camper is only 10 feet 6 inches high, 7 feet wide, and weighs between 10,000 and 12,000 pounds (depending on the chassis).
Exterior features include a Fab Fours winch and front bumper, onboard air, electric entry steps, an outside shower, a rear bumper swing gate storage box, a programmable entry door lock, a Starlink Internet System, and a complete super single wheel conversion for off-roading.
