2020 Overland Expo West Postponed to July 24-26

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Loadstone Events just announced that it will be rescheduling the Overland Expo West from May 15-17 to July 24-26, 2020.

“Self-sufficiency, fortitude and stewardship are at the core of the overlanding spirit and its community,” the statement read. “It is important now more than ever that we not lose sight of that spirit or the strength and support we get from the community. We will get through these tough times together. It is in this spirit that we have rescheduled Overland Expo West to July 24-26, 2020 to preserve this tremendous annual gathering of the overland community at Fort Tuthill in Flagstaff, Arizona.”

“On Monday, March 16, the Center For Disease Control and Prevention recommended the postponement of all gatherings of 50 or more people for the next eight weeks. Since that announcement, we have been working tirelessly on potential contingency plans for Overland Expo West. The rest of the Overland Expo series will take place as scheduled in 2020.”

The Overland Expo series includes two other shows, the Overland Expo Mountain West, August 28-30, in Loveland, Colorado; and the Overland Expo East, October 9-11, in Arrington, Virginia.

“Although the traditional Overland Expo West dates take place just outside of the CDC’s eight-week ban, we made the difficult decision to reschedule the event to ensure the health and safety of all attendees, exhibitors, providers and staff. We urge all overlanders to heed the advice of local and federal officials and take necessary actions to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus.”

  1. Sounds like the responsible thing to do. Flag will be warm and beautiful in July. Unfortunately my streak of missed events will continue but once I finally retire in September I will be making every effort to attend these rallies in 2021.
